A wonderful and a not-so-wonderful thing happened last year on The Mountain around Christmas time. This story is part of the WONDERFUL!  One of our Nativity Handcrafted sets was displayed by Linda Fredrikson, shop owner.  Furious flames lapped dangerously close to the manger scene BUT remained unscathed.  I am not suggesting that the Nativity sets are “flame-retardant”.  I am implying, that these Joseph, Mary and manger sets represent “truth”.  Truth always prevails, always.  To the shop owner, Linda Fredrikson and to all of us Mountain People, it was a wonderful promise that all was not destroyed.  Although the loss was great, we were all reminded that in our weakest hour, the fire brought us all together to combine our strengths.

“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”  Luke 2:7

This is GIVING in its’ highest form, free to all.  The receiving part is up to us.  It reminds me that often it is harder to receive than give no matter the season.

Our unique, handcrafted Nativity Silhouettes of Joseph, Mary & manger are timeless!  Perfect to celebrate this Christmas and many to come.  The gift that keeps giving!  Purchase at Christmas Vintage, The Mountain, Canton, TX.  (Open seasonally). You may also call 214.499.2024

May both giving and receiving be a special part of this wonderful season!
